About Me

Hi, I’m Rosie Barber and I have loved being a gentle sleep coach for over 10 years!

I love helping children learn to find their sleep — but what surprised me most was the incredible, life-changing impact babies sleeping through the night would have on their parents! When babies sleep, everyone thrives.

I am someone who needs their sleep, so when my son was born and started waking every 45 minutes all night, I was broken. I was utterly exhausted, barely functioning, and I remember desperately thinking, “There has to be another way.” A mum friend handed me a sleep book with a knowing look — and although I was full of doubt (and my husband was even more sceptical!), we gave it a go. Four very inconsistent weeks later… he slept through the night! 7pm to 7am, with a dream feed. I couldn’t believe it. I was officially in the Smug Sleepers Club.

That’s when the calls started — friends, family, and even expecting strangers started asking how we did it. I loved sharing what I’d learned, even when it meant getting desperate middle-of-the-night calls!

When my daughter was born, we took a more proactive approach from the start — gently following a wake, feed, play, sleep rhythm — and by 10 weeks, she was sleeping through without any sleep strategies. The phone calls didn’t stop. That’s when my husband and I sat down and decided to make a change. We wanted work that fit around our family, not the other way around. Eventually, after seeing so many friends and family struggling with their little one’s sleep — and realising how much sleep deprivation was stealing the joy from their early parenting experience — it just clicked. Most of them didn’t need to struggle; they just needed the right knowledge and the right support. That’s when I knew I wanted to help as many families as possible experience the calm, confidence, and joy that comes when everyone is getting the sleep they need.

So I combined everything I’d learned: my Psychology BSc Degree, Nurture Group training, years of experience as a Primary School Teacher, and all the sleep science I could get my hands on. That’s when Sleep Through The Night was born.

Now, I get to spend my days coaching amazing parents like you, helping you calmly, confidently achieve your ideal sleep scenario — all while creating space and connection with my family too. Since the recent arrival of baby number 3, I reflected on and perfected what I offer and how I support families and I believe in always learning and growing, which I have the privilege to do alongside my baby, who keeps me humble while helping me hone my skills for you!

My mission?
To change the narrative around sleep and parenting

Yes, having a baby changes your sleep — but that doesn’t mean parents should be expected to suffer. Babies and children can learn to settle and sleep well, and it’s absolutely OK to want that for your family.

Are you ready?
If you’re excited, open to guidance, and ready to make positive changes for your little one — then I want to work with you

I’ve been where you are, so I’ll support you emotionally.
I’ve seen the stumbling blocks, so I’ll guide you through them.
I love a good challenge, so I’ll work with passion and determination to help you reach your goals.

Sound good?
